AWF Disaster Response & Recovery Ministry

Support Disaster Response in Alabama and West Florida

On June 12th, Pastors Alan and Faith will be traveling to Montgomery, Alabama, to join other Methodist pastors for Annual Conference. While there, they will have the opportunity to give an offering from our church. All donations must be received by June 5th if they are to be carried down by with Pastors Alan and Faith.

In the spring of 2014, Pensacola, FL, experienced historic flooding that the area had not seen in hundreds of years. Had it not been for this team, many citizens in the area would not have been able to rebuild their homes. Through volunteer manpower and construction materials purchased through donations, they were able to rebuild their lives. This is the case after many natural disasters in our area. From Hurricane Ivan to the Gulf Oil Spill to the flooding in Pensacola, the AWF Disaster Response & Recovery Ministry has been present for months and sometimes even years after every single disaster. Our expertise in developing long-term recovery programs has enabled us to help those without resources and hope for recovering.
